The Meet Up
We believe discipleship happens best in authentic community for everyone. If you are an 18-30 year old seeking community, we have a place for you. The Meet Up is a monthly gathering for you to come and get connected to other young adults in a relaxed setting. We invite you to meet up with us as we live our life together. January 20, 4-7P We will have a MLK Day cookout! Smash burgers, games, and community. Spend your day off or come after work, bring your chairs, we can't wait to see you.

Bible & Brunch
Join us on the third Thursday of each month for a time of hymns, bible study, a delicious brunch and a chance to connect in community with senior saints (55+). The fun begins at 12P in room 225.

Prayer & Fasting
We have prayerful expectations of all the great and mighty things the Lord will do in 2024! However, we know that certain breakthroughs will only come about by way of prayer and fasting. Fasting is difficult. It requires us to fight against our own cravings and rely on God for strength. However, the blessings of fasting are infinite and far outweigh the difficulties. We ask you to commit, as a body of believers, to pray and fast on the 2nd Tuesday of every month in 2025. Our next day of prayer & fasting will be Tuesday, January 14th at 12P.

Maps | Local
We are committed to being the hands and feet of Jesus through Maps Local! On Saturday, December 7th teams from Evangel will tackle household repairs, maintenance, and building projects that can be completed in about half a day. Each Maps | Local project will aim to serve widows, single mothers, elderly, and others in need in our community through small projects like building accessibility ramps and bathrooms, minor home repair, and yard work like removing small trees and shrubs. Most projects will be able to be completed in under 4 hours and on some projects, the whole family can be involved.

November 24th @ 6P at the Lodge We will have a friendsgiving celebration - complete with your favorite thanksgiving dishes. Bring your friends and a dish to share.
For connection purposes this will be a kid free night! Childcare will not be provided.
Fam Closet Christmas Outreach
This Christmas we have the opportunity to bless foster communities through our fam closet Christmas Outreach. Aimed at filling an unmet need in Muscogee County and the surrounding areas, fam closet is a clothing bank for foster families across the region to help with the initial challenges of a foster placement as well as on-going support by partnering with DFCS, and other Foster Care support ministries and agencies in our area.
We will serve these families by providing them with new, and gently used clothing items, free of charge. Located at our building at 5131 Hamilton Rd., local Foster Care Advocates will have the opportunity to come and select the needed items for children ages 0-18 years of age.

Homemade Meals
Please freeze all meals.
Bring in disposable, tin foil containers that can be heated in the oven.
Attach the meal label (available at the fam closet display in Milltown Coffee), and fill out listing all ingredients.

Evangel Block Parties

Tri-City Prayer Walk
The power of prayer can change everything. Join our prayer team as we walk and cover our Tri-City areas in prayer on Saturday, October 19th from 9A to 11A. We will meet at the Phenix City Amphitheater at 9A and then set out for a 1.5 mile walk, stopping at prayer stations along the route, and will finish the walk back at the Amphitheater. This is going to be a powerful time of unified prayer and we invite you to join us!
Evangel Block Party Volunteer/Host
We love practicing the art of being a good neighbor and our Evangel Block Parties are one of our favorite ways to connect with our neighbors each fall! With the goal of meeting families where they are, on a night when they will already be out on their streets, we launch multiple block party locations in neighborhoods across the Columbus and surrounding areas on October 31! There are opportunities to serve through hosting or assisting as a volunteer at any of our block parties.

Maps Trip / Ark Encounter
Looking for a place to serve outside of the church? Join us on our Maps Trip to Shelbyville, Kentucky this September! In 2023, Grace Assembly of God burned down and we are sending a team from Evangel to help them complete their new building. This is a great trip for people of all skill sets and is open to both men and women. We’ll also be taking the team to the ARK Encounter once the project is complete. Trip Details:
1. Destination and Dates.
Grace A/G in Shelbyville Kentucky burned down in 2023 and we are helping in the final steps of completing a new building. Our Men/Women MAPS team will travel on Thursday, Sept. 12 thru Sunday Sept 15. We will depart @ 7am on Sept. 12 and return by 5pm on Sept. 15. We will travel on Church provided vans and pull our MAPS trailer for tools and suitcases.
2. Lodging and Food
We will be Lodging @ the Kentucky District youth camp in mens and womens dormitory style rooms w/ac 30 minutes from the church in Shelbyville. Evening meal on Thursday, breakfast and lunch for friday, and breakfast on Saturday are included. Other meals on travel day, day off, and evenings are individual responsibility.
3. Project Focus
We will be pouring concrete sidewalks, installing bathroom partitions, door painting, door installation, install ceiling tiles,
Final cleaning of building, drainage installation, general labor.
4. Work Schedule.
Thursday afternoon, Friday, Saturday morning.
5. Trip Experience
We will be attending The Ark Encounter on Saturday before returning on Sunday to Columbus.
6. Cost
Cost per person including transportation, lodging, meals listed, Ark Encounter pass - $150

Pew Pew Pew! Let’s see how well you do! Join us in the field at Evangel for a night of Laser Tag!! This FREE family event kicks off on Wednesday, June 19th at 6:30P and begins with all eKids competing in the field and then finishing with a pizza party! Alive students will hang out and have a pizza party following their Wednesday Evening Service!
